Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Meet and assist at Cairo International Airport, transfer to your hotel and review your itinerary. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Pyramids & GEM
Visit the Giza Plateau — the Great Pyramids, Sphinx and Valley Temple. Lunch at a local restaurant, then the New Grand Egyptian Museum with the complete Tutankhamun collection. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Meidum & Fayoum
Drive to the Meidum Pyramid, Egypt's first attempted smooth-sided pyramid, then explore Fayoum — the ancient center of the crocodile god Sobek — including the Temple of Medinet Madi and Qasr el-Sagha. Overnight in Fayoum.

Day 4: Wadi El Hitan & Wadi El Rayan
Visit Wadi El Hitan (Valley of the Whales), a UNESCO World Heritage paleontological site with 40-million-year-old whale fossils, then the waterfalls and twin lakes of Wadi El Rayan and the color-changing Magic Lake. Overnight in Fayoum.

Day 5: Beni Hassan & Minya
Drive south to the rock-cut Middle Kingdom tombs of Beni Hassan, then continue to the city of Minya (250 km south of Cairo). Overnight in Minya.

Day 6: Amarna, Ashmunein & Tuna el-Gebel
Visit Tell el-Amarna, the short-lived capital of Pharaoh Akhenaten, then Ashmunein (Hermopolis Magna), cult center of Thoth, and the catacombs of Tuna el-Gebel. Continue south to Abydos. Overnight in Abydos.

Day 7: Abydos & Dendera — to Luxor
Visit the Temple of Abydos, sacred to Osiris, then the remarkably preserved Temple of Dendera dedicated to Hathor near Qena. Continue to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 8: Luxor West Bank
Explore the West Bank — the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Ramesseum and Medinet Habu, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Valley of the Queens. Optional evening Sound & Light Show at Karnak. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 10: Edfu, Kom Ombo — to Aswan
